Fair Skin & Redhead Skincare: Why Your Skin Needs a Different Approach

At Óroux Skin, we were tired of the skincare and beauty industry not addressing the specific needs of fair skin—especially for redheads. Not only is fair skin far more likely to be damaged by the sun and UV rays, but it is 20 times more likely to develop skin cancers and melanomas. We decided to do something about that. Redheads have a variant of the MC1R gene that causes our skin and hair to have very different properties from other skin (and hair) types.

Since 2019, Bella Vida SB has created luxury skincare and now our founder, Erin, is creating a new vision for the brand focusing on fair, sensitive skin like hers. As a natural redhead, Erin has always had struggles with her skin, like years of cystic acne, sunburns growing up in the unforgiving heat of Las Vegas, Nevada and now 7 skin cancer scares. After her last skin cancer scare, Erin was determined to help other redheads (aka gingers) to not have issues with their skin and build a supportive community for redheads and those who have fair, sensitive skin.
